Does anyone have advice on whether to engage with a writing organization called Books and Brunch?"  They emailed me out of the blue with a very flattering specific letter about a book of mine "Home & Castle" from five years ago. They bill themselves as a reader led literary community of 1300 engaged readers.  They're offering to promote the book through their forum for a couple hundred bucks.  It doesn't seem like an outright scam but maybe just a come-on that may or may not be worth the exposure. What do you think?

Hi Tom, At first I'd say this was a scam, based on many similar emails I receive each week.  However, after Googling Books and Brunch, I do see there is such a thing, kind of.  They have a FB page, though the posts are odd! They don't say where they are based. To me, they don't appear to be a  serious, legit group and for only 1300 readers, as they claim, I don't think it's worth the money. I'd be curious how they got your email/name/title of backlisted book. Hope this helps some.

Thankyou for your thoughts on this. I'm still sort of on the fence based on my interaction with them.  But I will proceed carefully  and post any further info.

What a great idea that was!  I don't think I saw Emily Dickinson on there---her home is in Amherst MA.  I've visited it once or twice and passed by it many times.  I'll send a picture when I come across it.  It's hard to get into one frame.  Oh, I'll just send you the website!  https://www.emilydickinsonmuseum.org/

Svetlana's interview with author Naam Murr was heavy with nuggets of inspiration, instruction and insight. The questions were well asked and I'm grateful to Murr for answering in length.  A wonderful interview!
