About Scrivener. I liked it because it has places to set the names and quirks of minor characters that you may forget.

I didn't like that I, repeat I, couldn't find a way to convert to Word.

Paco, I'm sorry you couldn't figure out how to convert to Word.  If you want, I can teach you how to do it.

What a nice article that calls back to my retreat experiences this summer.

Paula- your words about fountain pens shows a strong connection between the art of creating with words and the art that the writing can be. I am going to try to integrate some of my daily writing habits into longhand and look for one of the magical pens you describe. Thank you for your insight and ideas!

Robust piece, Laurel, on nature writing and the using the world around us. You not only gave us helpful suggestions, but also referenced many names of outstanding authors to illustrate nature writing at its best. What a great reading list this makes, too! As a writer of nature, incorporating into my work the smallest of details found in the natural world can really make all the difference in a piece.

Have been a member of Off Campus for over 40 years. I love open, honest dialogue and respect we each have our own opinions and beliefs. But OCWW has gone off into dangerous territory lately! Since when do we advertise and promote political bias in either direction? Since when do we book a speaker as was done recently to build altars and read mystic cards and spiritual practices? Would we likewise book, welcome, celebrate and promote a Judeo/Chrisitian speaker? OCWW had always been neutral in such matters.
