Effective dialogue advances the plot, increases the tension, and reveals character. In this class, I will take you through the five stages I moved through for learning how to write dialogue that does all that work, and we’ll write to two prompts. I’ll discuss dialogue as a way to introduce a new POV and how to stay in character. Our ultimate goal will be crafting dialogue that one character does rather than says to another.
