THIS SESSION REPLACES THE CANCELLED WORKSHOP WITH DR. ALEXIS PRIDE
MEETING IS NOW REMOTE ONLY
Writing convincing romantic chemistry is a crucial skill for any writer, regardless of genre. A well-crafted romantic subplot can add depth, tension, and emotional resonance to a story, while a poorly executed one can feel clichéd, forced, or even cringe-worthy. In this class, we will examine the key ingredients of compelling on-page chemistry and explore techniques for creating authentic, engaging romantic arcs that enhance rather than detract from your narrative. Through a combination of literary examples and practical exercises, participants will learn how to employ romance and plot conventions, sensory detail, and evocative language to craft romantic threads that feel organic and believable.
