Tracy Cantin and Dave Miller have a fresh, approachable take on classical, operatic, and contemporary vocal repertoire. Their innovative re-imagining of works by Puccini, Debussy, and Britten garner high adulation from serious classical music fans. The unorthodox inclusion of the electric guitar creates exciting challenges and opportunities when interpreting a body of music largely written for orchestra or piano. Applying the same unified aesthetic to approach contemporary popular composers such as Tom Waits, Cole Porter, and David Bowie, the duo has compelled a new audience to initiate a meaningful and curious relationship with classical music.
