Learn how three long-time members of OCWW made the leap as writers and landed on their feet as traditionally published novelists. Patricia Skalka, mystery writer, Lynn Sloan, literary novelist, and Joyce Burns Zeiss, young adult novelist, each published novels to wide acclaim in 2015. They will discuss: “How to move from writing to publication?” “How to apply lessons learned in a first career to the business of getting published?” “How to sustain creativity in the long progress of transforming from a writer to an author?” These topics and others will be addressed, and concrete, helpful advice culled from experience will be shared.
Patricia Skalka is the author of Death Stalks Door County (University of Wisconsin Press, 2014) and Death at Gills Rock (also UW Press, 2015), the first two books in the popular Dave Cubiak Door County Mystery series.
