The Art of Revision—The End Is Just The Beginning

You’ve written a novel, you’ve typed “The End.” Congrats! Before you release your baby into the world, make sure it’s the best it can be – you have one chance to hook your reader. This workshop will show you how to use your first draft as a foundation and move painlessly through the revision process to create a book you’ll be proud of and one with a greater chance of being published. Includes handouts and interactive in-class exercises.

Samantha Hoffman is a runner, a reader, a film and theatre buff, tech geek, blogging queen, personal assistant, editor, private chef, traveler, volunteer, animal lover, sister, friend, lover of life and…a writer. Her stories have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Dieter’s Soul, The Corner Magazine in London and numerous other print and online publications. She also writes a popular blog about life in Chicago, at www.samanthahoffman.com.

She is the author of What More Could You Wish For, published by St. Martin’s Press, and the upcoming The Ones You Left Behind.
